Great day at Ruby Lane!

Friday, February 4th, 2011

Many thanks to author Gary W. Moore who certainly went the extra (icey) mile to be in the book store today. And, many thanks to our great customers who helped make this event successful. Can’t forget to thank the Post Area Chamber of Commerce Manager, Janice Plummer, for playing Buddy Holly musc on Main Street today.

We still have copies of “Hey Buddy” – a few signed and dated by the author. Don’t forget Old Mill Trade Day Downtown this Saturday. There is a cash giveaway AND a special drawing for a 42″ TV.

This ‘n That

First, a “shout out” to Tenna & her friends who were in the book store earlier this month. I was immensely excited to lear that Tenna actually reads my blog! These folks are fun and we always enjoy seeing them. Also thanks to Rob (new customer/friend) for enlightening me on the IrisLens hand held scanner. I believe this will make it possible to get more of our books online. It is amazing to meet so many great people and share a love of books and life.

All of you should be sure to get to Post during the Christmas season. (Or if you live in Post, be sure to see Main Street.) We’ve got lights everywhere and many of them flash & dance to holiday music; plus the Post Toastie Express will be taking folks all over town. December 4 is Old Mill Trade Day Downtown and our lighted Christmas parade starts at 6. At Ruby Lane Books we’ll have Christmas cake puffs (aka cake balls). Please stop in and help us kick off this blessed season!
